If you are considering
serving on a Board of Trustees,
working on a major project
or otherwise volunteering
at a college, hospital, house of religion
or other not-for-profit,
first, understand and commit to its Mission.

Then be prepared to share a reasonable,
yet significant, portion of your
time, talent, treasure,
character, compassion, courage,
experience, expertise, endurance,
integrity, insights, innovations,
presence, presents, patience,
work, wisdom, wealth.

If you are really willing to do all this,
do the organization and the people it
serves a great favor,
just say yes.
